Mrs. Hall's Post

Happy Martin Luther King Day!

While I know that everyone is enjoying their day off from school today, I want you to remember why we have this day off: to celebrate the great accomplishments of Martin Luther King Junior. He fought for civil rights, so that all people could be treated equally. In his famous speech “I Have a Dream”, he speaks of a world where people are not treated differently because of their skin color.  He said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

So remember why you have this day off: to honor the accomplishments of Martin Luther King Junior.

There are only 56 days left until I get to join Mr. Mault's class again! I miss you all very much and cannot wait until I am in the classroom!
